What another Discover Ohio?! That's right, I have been pretty busy with my local travels lately. The most recent place was Cleveland. I have never toured Cleveland before (even though I have been living in Ohio for 17 years!). Three of my friends and I went to Cleveland for a short girl's trip with Kat, Claire, and Sophia this past Friday.
We started by going to West Side market. We didn't stay too long because it was cold. But, we were able to see the fresh food, flowers, and other good looking things on display. We each picked up a chocolate covered pretzel for the road. I chose the pretzel with white chocolate on the outside and marshmallow on the inside. It was great. We made a quick pit stop at a decorated wall to take pictures. After that, we made our way to the Cleveland Museum of Art We saw a lot of beautiful paintings, sculptures, and even an art video. We left the museum after an hour or so and headed to grab lunch with one of Claire's friends. We came across a ramen restaurant and decided to eat there. I had the shrimp tempura ramen and let me tell you, it was great. I have never had ramen before and this was a delicious start to trying new food.
After lunch, we went to go see one of Kat's friends on Case Western's campus. We enjoyed a mini tour and then headed to Rising Star Coffee Roasters to get a warm drink. I had a cup of Earl Grey tea and a gluten free brownie, which I split with Claire. The spot was very cozy and cute. And the staff was nice and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We said goodbye to Kat's friend and headed back to Case Western to see another friend of Claire's. We chatted with her for quite a while before heading back to school. This was one of the most enjoyable weekends I have had since coming back to school. I look forward to many more weekends like this with my friends. I hope you enjoy the pictures below and go discover Ohio for yourself!
