Some of you may know that I had the AMAZING opportunity to see Beyonce (and Jay-Z) over the summer with my sister, Alexis. In celebration of the Queen's birthday yesterday, I thought I would post about her concert.

So the idea of going to this concert actually started long before she even announced it. My sister and I wanted to go to The Formation Tour back in 2016, but the ticket prices were out of this world, so that didn't happen. We agreed to go see her perform with our own eyes at some point before she retires (IF she retires). I was very excited to go to this concert until I saw the $500 tickets. I immediately gave up the idea of going. But, something told me to look at the tickets again at a later date. So, I did just that and searched for tickets in July, and guess what? I found them for $53 each! I swiped those joints REAL quick. The day of, it was dark out and the weather person predicted that it would rain all evening. But, I was too excited to worry too much about being rained on. We started getting ready and putting makeup on 4 hours before the concert was supposed to start (good thing we did, because the traffic there was crazy!). I had the bright idea of wearing 4 inch heels. Don't be like me, be smarter. Don't try to be too cute, you're going to sweat your cute away anyways.

So we made it and the first performers were Chloe X Halle. I LOVE THESE TWO. If you don't know who they are, look them up. They are super talented and they are on my favorite show, Grown-ish. Anyways, they sounded great, but they stood in the corner of the stage. So only the people in the very front could see what they were doing. And they started their set too early. People were still finding seats and no one was really paying attention. But, they sounded amazing.

Next was DJ Khaled. I've got to say, I had very, very low expectations of him. I had no idea what to expect though. But, he really impressed me. At first he was just talking about Assad (like always) and his new records, which was a little boring. But once he got past his schpeel, he hyped the crowd up and played some BOMB music. I hate to say it, but I was more hyped up watching Khaled than I was watching Chloe X Halle. He left us lit for Beyonce to come out.

I don't think I have ever been more excited to see someone sing in my entire life. I think I pissed some people off because I was SCREAMING. Not only when the screen went black, but throughout the entire 2.5 hour show. (In fact, the two guys in front of us got up and left about halfway through). But, I truly didn't and still don't care. I paid money to get an experience. I still can't believe we went. I keep trying to explain to people how the show was, but I don't know how to put it into words. It had visuals out of this world. The dancing was on point. Bey's ALL FEMALE, ALL BLACK band was on fire the entire show. And I have to give credit where credit is due; Jay-Z did an amazing job as well (even though I didn't know most of his songs, it was still a vibe). But, Alexis and I were each personally there to see Bey. I had an unreal, amazing time. And I hope to see her again in the future (Maybe a Destiny's Child Reunion??)

Sorry for all the screaming you hear in the videos. I was TURNT. But I hope you all enjoyed seeing a peek into the On The Run II Tour. Hopefully I'll have many more concerts to show you in the future! Be Uniquely You and Happy Belated BDay to the Queen!
