A Day at the Fair!

This past Saturday, my sister, Arin, and I went to the Ohio State Fair. I haven't been since 2003 (or 04', not totally sure) when I went to see Raven Symone with my mom and sister. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a great time. Starting out, I was 100% convinced that tickets were $5 per person, but they were actually $10 (which was annoying since you have to pay for literally everything at the fair, but whatever). We started out walking around and seeing all the different food options and rides. Alexis and I saw this ride that spun around in a circle and moved the seats up and around. For some stupid reason, we decided that it would be a good idea to get on that. I soon regretted going on because I felt slightly sick afterward. After that, Arin and I went on the rotating swings (the swings that go around almost like a carousel but swing you out wide) (See below because I am terrible at explaining these rides)

After we rode all the safe-looking rides, we decided to get some food. There was SO MUCH FOOD. From tator tots and fried perch; to fried butter and dried ice cream (that tasted oddly like Trix cereal). And before you think it, no, we did not try the deep-fried butter (which sounds disgusting). I got a corn dog, Alexis was going to get the perch, but they ran out; and Arin got tator tots and chicken tenders. While we were eating, we watched the State band come through and we saw Mason!! (He's a friend from our school). After that, we walked around some more and took a quick bathroom break before going to get our fried desserts. We all shared a funnel cake, 5 fried Oreos, and a fried Twinkie (which none of us really liked). Some how, we made a complete circle around the whole park, so we went back to the rides. Our last ride was the ferris wheel. After the ride, I dragged the other two to the game section. I have always wanted to win a stuffed animal at a fair. And I decided to stop waiting for a guy to win me one, so I got one for myself. I found out that I have great hand-eye coordination when I played the balloon popping game. I won a stuffed pig, whom I later named Sampson. At the end of the day, we decided not to walk all the way back to the entrance, so we took the glider. Overall, we had an amazing day. Sorry if this story was all over the place, but our day was a little all over the place too! Enjoy the pictures, and continue to be uniquely you.
