Why I Suck At Time Management

As we all know, I am not the best when it comes to doing things on time or in a speedy way. I will say, I typically am never late to most places. However, when it comes to homework, blogging, or other necessary things i need to complete, I am not the greatest. For example, I had an assignment for my Video Audio Aesthetics class. It is due this coming Monday. I had to complete a video, edit it, and submit it. This may sound easy, but the editing took 3 hours today. Instead of starting and completing it when I was first told about it, I decided to wait until arguably one of my busiest weekends to do it.
So, why do I do this? I have not gotten totally accustomed to being back at school yet. I had a quick turn-around after summer, which kept me in the summer mindset. I've been lagging in my classes, and to be honest, I've stopped caring. However, I want to make that change. I challenged myself to get a 4.0 this semester (and with my course load, it is possible). In order to do that, I have to do better and push myself to study and not get caught up too much in being social or having "me time". Me time is very important, but I abuse that most times. I teach a freshman "first year experience" class and I gave them tips about how to better manage their time. I also gave them a handout that instructed them to write down how they spend their time on certain activities (Ex: clubs, studying, Netflix, etc.). I am challenging myself, but I am also challenging you to manage your time better. We've got this queens!
