What I got for Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy Holidays! I hope you all have enjoyed some time with friends and family. And, I hope you all have eaten a lot of good food. I don't know about you, but I love to scroll through Instagram and look to see what other people received for the holidays. Well if you are that type of person, then get ready to be happy because you are about to do just that! Here are the gifts I received from my family on Christmas.

1. New Headphones

This was a great gift from my parents. For pretty much all of my winter break, up to this point, I have been using my mom's headphones. They work great and give a surround sound vibe.

2. A book of poetry

This was also a gift from my parents. In August, I told my mom and sister that one of them could get me a book of poetry. I didn't care who by; but I knew I wanted to read more poetry. This book has so many great writers and poets. And it's long so I will never get bored!

3. Manicure set

My sister bought me this set that has all the necessary essentials to keep your nail hygiene up. This comes in handy because I always lose my nail clippers and other accessories.

4. Highlighter set and duo contour stick

Another gift from my sister, this was a surprise. I LOVE getting makeup. And, she knows that I am obsessed with highlighters. The highlighters are very pigmented and bright. The duo contour stick is not dark enough for me, unfortunately, but I told her I will use it as an eyeshadow instead! (almost anything can double as eyeshadow by the way)

5. Monte Carlo

My parents hit the jackpot with this gift. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie. My family and friends low-key hate on it, but I don't care. I was so happy to open this. Brownie points for them.

6. Sassy Mug

The first day of my freshman year of college, I uploaded a picture to Facebook with the caption "That's me, adulting". Therefore, the "I can't adult today" mug lives. I love this cup. It is literally me in words. My parents know me pretty well.

7. MY FAVORITE LIPSTICK

I lost my lipstick at a bar spring semester of freshman year. The sad thing is, I also lost my glasses that night and I was more distraught about my lipstick! (yes, I eventually found my glasses). This was probably the best gift I received. Thanks mom and dad!!
