Attainable Goals to Work on in 2018

I'm sure we're all sick of the "new year, new me" mantra. We are still in the season where people are packing into gyms, buying healthy foods, and keeping a strong eye on their banking activities. While this is a good start, the momentum never lasts. So what are some goals that you can keep for the remainder of the year? Check them out below!

1. Get a job. I have heard a lot of people saying they want a job and need money. Believe it or not, you can easily find a job. Granted, it might not be the most glamorous job. A lot of places look for individuals to cover housekeeping, food services, or human resources. And many places won't require a college degree. If you are truly looking for employment, take the time to be proactive and get your money!

2. Work out two to three times a week. This is probably one half of the most basic New Year's revolutions: get healthy. How about we put a name to that vague title. Setting a certain time to workout per week can enhance discipline in your goal. Many people don't realize that little things like shopping and climbing stairs can be a workout. Be as active as possible and you'll get to where you want to be.

3. Clear skin. This is a goal that is not as popular, but is still noted. The major goal for healthy, clear skin is..... WATER. Water can literally cleanse your skin. Drink 8 glasses a day, invest in a nice water bottle and drink on the go. Also watch what you eat. Junk food can cause havoc on your skin, so eat it in moderation

4. Eat a vegetarian meal once or twice a week. Veggies are so so so good for you. They can help you lose weight, clear your skin, and just make you feel good. This is similar to working out. Putting a specific timing on who many times you eat your veggies will make you more willing to and focused on completing your goal

5. Reviewing notes = Better grades. Good grades won't appear out of no where. Lazy work will not make you get the dean's list. At least once a week, go over the notes you took. Look at the professors lectures (if they are online). Re-read chapters from the book. Being persistent in your studying will show positively in the long-run.

The new year is a great time for new beginnings. Don't get sucked into the new year, new me mantra! How about new year, better me!? Be persistent and go achieve your goals. Until next time,

Be Uniquely You!
